We SHATTERED the record!
21,907 ROCKS
Thank you ALL for your amazing support!
THE EVENT
We asked for your help in bringing Mental Health Awareness to the forefront, and you succeeded by breaking a Guinness World Record for the largest display of painted rocks in one place!!
There’s a lot of work that goes into the actual filing for the record, and we are working hard to finalize the process – you’ll hear as soon as we do of the final certificate approval (we have no doubts here).
Contributing artists will be recorded in foundation records supporting the event by name, city, state, country and home rock group.
Upon setting the world record, a permanent display will be uploaded to our website (www.joshuayorkfoundation.org) with links to each participating home group. After the event, rocks will be distributed in the following manner:
- Guinness and JYLF will retain a limited number of rocks for historical purposes.
- Unclaimed rocks will be placed in rock gardens, hidden, and dispersed during outreach and fundraising events by the Joshua York Legacy Foundation.
Due to the nature of the event and the vast amount of rocks we are receiving, all rocks donated are considered the property of The Joshua York Legacy Foundation and will not be returned to the artist – as sifting through over 10,000 rocks to find an artists individual design will just be impossible.
IF YOU HAVE PHOTOS OF THE EVENT, WE WOULD LOVE TO GET THOSE FROM YOU TO DISPLAY HERE TOO! VISIT THE CONTACT PAGE TO LEARN HOW!
